JOB SUMMARY:

This position requires the ability to understand and articulate the total picture of all components surrounding applications and interfaces. The incumbent must have a broad understanding of the complex dependencies and interactions between bank systems and be able to handle and resolve complex issues and problems, coordinating with outside vendors and business unit leaders. Position will be required to support administration of various applications, including support for some functions required to be performed after hours or on an on-call basis. In addition, the incumbent is expected to be able to identify and implement preventative and system improvement measures to ensure overall system availability.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and leads a team of Application Support Analysts involved in the support and troubleshooting of various applications; works directly with the business stakeholders in integration, testing, analysis and design of new, and modification of existing key business applications.

  • Responsible for managing work assignments and maintaining service level of key business applications, including coordination between vendors, IT staff and Business unit leadership.

  • Responsible for supporting systems administration related tasks for the Bank’s business system processes and interfaces, including automation and pro-active improvement in these processes.

  • Identifies application support standards and ensures supported applications adhere to SDLC standards.

  • Works closely with the Project Management department to ensure that functional specifications are written accordingly.

  • Involved in User Acceptance Testing with software implementation of new development or modifications, as part of the SDLC process.

  • Manages and plans new implementations, application integration and automation.

  • Manages and plans upgrades and releases as the vendors make them available.

  • Manages direct reports, including involvement in their career development and performance evaluations.

  • Supports SOX-related reviews of file shares, group permissions and other key financial data controls.

  • Supports Information Technology department SOX narrative administration and the monitoring of IT’s compliance with those controls, including development and tracking of the control-related documentation.

  • Responsible for using the proper Change Management Process and submission of Request for Changes.

  • Requires active monitoring of the Incident Case tracking tool for assignments as designated.

  • Participates in the Annual Disaster Recovery exercise for the assigned applications.

  • Participates in technical studies to evaluate business systems requirements and recommends appropriate solutions.

  • Participates in the installation, maintenance and 3rd Tier support for the Software Applications, used by the various Business Divisions within the Bank.

  • Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.

  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.

  • Manage, support, coach and train staff.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and understanding of all environments involved with the Business Unit applications, which includes network, server infrastructure, application analysis, and database.

  • Ability to work at most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment

  • A strong understanding of the Bank’s SDLC Process

  • Ability to work independently with very little supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required due to the high interaction with the various business units, vendors and other IT resources. In addition, the development of documentation of procedures for ongoing support, and managing and mentoring application support resources are also key functions of the position.

  • Good working knowledge of the Bank’s Change Management Process

  • Review and be knowledgeable of departmental and human resource’s policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)

  • 10 years’ minimum experience in the Financial Institution and Commercial Banking environment

  • 7+ years with online Digital Banking experience

  • 7+ years with Payment Systems experience

  • 7+ years with software conversion and migration experience

  • FIS on-line banking system experience is preferred.

SALARY RANGE: $174,894.72 - 233,201.28 USD; Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
